Learning outcomes
Know the scientific chronology, periodization and characteristics of the main stages of cultural development.
To know the main trends of cultural development in specific historical periods.
To know the most important facts, events and processes of the history of culture.
To be able to comprehensively consider the research problem using relevant sources and scientific literature.
Be able to interpret information from various sources.
To be able to research the life and activities of certain cultural figures in the context of their historical era.
To be able to draw conclusions about the results of the activities of individuals, communities and structures in specific historical eras.
To be able to identify patterns and peculiarities of national and foreign cultures and their interdependence in the process of historical development.
Be able to identify and properly process sources of information.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the nature and peculiarities of the cultural development of Ukraine and the world.
2. To be able to independently deepen one's knowledge by searching and processing new information using modern technical means; scientifically assess the role of subjective and objective factors in the historical and cultural process, events and phenomena.
Course content
The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, seminars, independent work of students, which are completed by rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (ЗМ1) includes topics 1-7, content module 2 (ЗМ2) includes topics 8-13. The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale.

Planned educational events and teaching methods - lectures, seminars, practical classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, the student's work is evaluated during each seminar (presentation, addition, participation in the discussion).
The criteria for evaluating a student's answer during the seminar are:
• complete disclosure of the issue;
• logic of presentation 1 point;
• use of basic and additional literature;
• analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions.
