Learning outcomes
Achievement by students of such competencies, skills and abilities as: ability to apply theoretical knowledge and provisions of current legislation on: electoral process and application of electoral procedures, as well as the order of organization and basic principles of activity during the electoral process; skills of arguing legal positions on the organization of the electoral process and electoral procedures, understanding the formation of voter lists, the formation of constituencies, polling stations, commissions; understanding the process of candidate registration, campaigning, counting of votes and establishing the results of voting; skills of formulating proposals for improving the current legislation on the legal support of the organization and activities of electoral administration bodies.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Understands and knows the constitutional and legal requirements for elections as the main form of direct democracy, constitutional principles of organization and conduct of elections, the main types of electoral systems used in national and local elections in Ukraine, the basics of legal regulation of organizational and functional principles of elections and elections in Ukraine . Has the skills of systematic analysis and application of legal norms to specific life situations, as well as consistent argumentation and defense of a particular legal position. Has the skills of writing legal positions.
Course content
The discipline acquaints students with the electoral procedure and the electoral process. Applicants acquire the following skills and abilities: ability to apply theoretical knowledge and provisions of current legislation on: the electoral process and the application of electoral procedures; skills of arguing legal positions on the organization of the electoral process and electoral procedures, understanding the formation of voter lists, the formation of constituencies, polling stations, commissions; understanding the process of candidate registration, campaigning, counting of votes and establishing the results of voting. When studying the discipline students gain knowledge about the features and procedure for forming the composition, organization and activities of election administration bodies, basic principles and features of their organization, problems of legal status of these administrative bodies depending on the type and type of elections.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures and seminars - with the use of interactive teaching methods (brainstorming, case studies, discussions, etc.). Solution of situational problems is planned; preparation of certain types of election documentation; students write an essay on problematic issues of election law in the relevant part.
Assessment methods and criteria
Types of evaluation applied: ongoing performance evaluation and final evaluation. Assessment methods - the type of work / activity of an applicant, which will assess the level of achievement of learning outcomes (individual work, independent work, etc. and the minimum threshold after which an applicant gets a positive mark) - and evaluation criteria are communicated to applicants before studying the discipline by the teacher, who conducts seminars. During ongoing performance evaluation and final evaluation such aspects should be considered: the level of "Knowledge", "Understanding", "Application", "Analysis" / "Synthesis" / "Evaluation". The maximum number of points that can be scored by the applicant during ongoing performance evaluation - 40, final - 60. The final grade in the discipline is set on a 100-point scale (ECTS grade scale) and the national scale.
