Ability to think abstractly and creatively in resolving disputes related to theoretical and practical issues of international cooperation in the field of labor and employment, including within international organizations, the study of current trends in legal regulation in international labor law, taking into account the laws of historical development. Ability to analyze the acquired knowledge in the field of determining the main directions of international legal regulation of labor, the mechanism of their protection and the activities of international organizations in the field. Ability to use the concepts and categories of international labor law, to properly analyze and apply international labor standards, to identify patterns of development of labor law in modern conditions, to resolve legal conflicts under international labor law.

Know the main historical stages of international labor law development, the concept, subject, method, sources of international labor law, the institutional foundations of international labor law, the structure and competence of international organizations in the field of labor; basic international legal norms on: international labor standards, employment and training; employment contract; working hours, rest time; labor discipline, material liability of employees and employers; wages; safety, occupational health; international legal labor standards for certain categories of workers; the rights of trade unions and employers organizations; international legal regulation of labor disputes; social insurance and social security in international labor law.

Concepts, subject, method and principles of international labor law. Sources of international labor law. International labor standards. Subjects of international labor law. ILO: legal status and main activities. International standards of labor, employment and training. The concept of employment contract, its matter and types. International legal regulation of working hours and rest time. Discipline of work. Mutual liability of employees and employers. International legal regulation of wages. Occupational safety and health. International legal standards of work of certain categories of workers. The rights of trade unions and employers’ organizations in the field of labor. International legal regulation of labor disputes. Specifics of specialized labor justice. Social insurance and social security in international labor law.

Verbal: explanation, discussion, lecture, seminar, individual work and tasks. Visual: illustration, demonstration, self-observation. Practical: analysis of current local law-making practice, judicial practice, practical tasks.

The minimum score to be obtained by a student according to the established forms of assessment is 24 points. The maximum score that can be obtained by a student per semester is 40 points. The envisaged forms of semester assessment cannot exceed 40 points in total. The maximum final grade for this discipline can be 100 points. A student can receive a maximum of 60 points in the exam, to which the points obtained by the student during seminars are added. To obtain an overall positive grade in the discipline, the grade for the exam may not be less than 36 points. If the student scored less than 36 points, the latter are not added to the semester grade (regardless of the number of points obtained during the semester), the information in the “credit score” column is “0” and only the number of points obtained during the semester is transferred to the “resulting grade” column.
