Learning outcomes
Know the trends in realization of thebright to work in Ukraine in modern conditions, in particular the issues of violation of labor rights (unreasonable refusal to hire, etc.). Know the problems of presumption of employment relations. Be able to research and draw conclusions on the implementation of the principles in favorem, in peius in labor relations in the context of protection against unlawful dismissal. Be able to analyze current problems of risks of poverty and social exclusion, vulnerability of public health, domestic violence, etc.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the development of scientific thought on the modernization of social security legislation of Ukraine. Be able to analyze theoretical and practical issues of labor law and social security law in order to identify current legal issues and find ways to resolve them. Possess the skills to prepare abstract research on the modernization of social protection legislation of Ukraine.
Course content
Risks in social and labor relations. Issues of realization of the right to work. Unreasonable refusal to hire. Presumption of the existence of labor relations. The principle of in peius in social and labor relations. Protection against unlawful dismissal. Risks in the social security sphere. Risks of poverty and social exclusion in current conditions. Public health as a major factor in the well-being of the population. Domestic violence as a difficult life circumstance.

Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum final grade for the discipline can be 100 points. The student can receive a maximum of 60 points in the credit, to which the points obtained by the student during practical classes are added. To obtain an overall positive grade in the discipline, the grade for the final test may not be less than 36 points. If the student scored less than 36 points, the latter are not added to the semester grade (regardless of the number of points obtained during the semester), the information in the “credit points” column “0” and only the number of points obtained during the semester is transferred to the column “resulting grade”.
