Learning outcomes
Knowledge of the provisions of bankruptcy law; ability to apply general and special procedural and economic legal knowledge of the theory of bankruptcy law, the ability to solve complex problems in the field of lawmaking and law enforcement; ability to identify, pose and solve problems related to the economic and legal regulation of bankruptcy proceedings; ability to make well-grounded decisions on the application of economic legislation to resolving issues that arise in the field of bankruptcy proceedings; ability to assess the latest legal tools of procedural and substantive bankruptcy law.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know doctrinal bases of bankruptcy proceedings; its features and difference from other forms of economic litigation; its phases; legal status of participants in bankruptcy proceedings depending on their type and literature sources on bankruptcy proceedings. Determine the legal nature of the procedural relations of bankruptcy; traditional means and measures applied within it; features of bankruptcy procedures used in bankruptcy proceedings. Be able to independently assess and identify theoretical and practical problems on the subject of the course, as well as analyse various practical situations that arise when applying the procedural rules of bankruptcy law; analyse information from national sources, assess its reliability, use modern information technology and databases in determining the legal nature of the procedural relationship of bankruptcy
Course content
The course focuses on general characteristics of bankruptcy proceedings and their features; legal status of the participants in these proceedings; types of procedures used within it; the specifics of the application of procedural legislation on bankruptcy and the main theoretical and practical issues arising in connection with opening bankruptcy proceedings and the implementation of procedural rules. The course provides students with the knowledge on the application of the legislation of Ukraine in the field of bankruptcy regulation, and related skills, the ability to identify problems of legal regulation, ways to solve them.

Assessment methods and criteria
Types of formative assessment are chosen by the teacher who conducts practical lessons in compliance with the course syllabus. The teacher who conducts seminars processes students’ points scored during coursework and enters them in the student performance evaluation documents. If a student is absent from a seminar for a valid reason, s/he may complete the missed lesson in extracurricular time within 7 days after this lesson was missed, during the teacher's consultation. The procedure is carried out by means of oral questioning or another type of task set by the teacher. Points for missed classes are not awarded. At the end of the semester, missed classes are not completed.
