Learning outcomes
Knowledge of the provisions of bankruptcy law; ability to apply general and special procedural and economic legal knowledge of the theory of bankruptcy law, the ability to solve complex problems in the field of lawmaking and law enforcement; ability to identify, pose and solve problems related to the economic and legal regulation of bankruptcy proceedings; ability to make well-grounded decisions on the application of economic legislation to resolving issues that arise in the field of bankruptcy proceedings; ability to assess the latest legal tools of procedural and substantive bankruptcy law.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the main provisions of the Bankruptcy Code of Ukraine, the Economic Code of Ukraine and the legislation from the courses "Economic Procedural Law" and "Economic Law", related to the regulation of bankruptcy proceedings, and the case law on bankruptcy from the course "Economic Procedural Law ". Be able to master and consolidate knowledge gained during the lectures by means of independent processing of legislation and special literature sources on relevant topics of the course; use the knowledge acquired from related disciplines; use legal information and analytical resources of the Internet, perform self-study tasks, solve problems. Possess sufficient knowledge and skills to resolve practical issues; provide legal description of the legal problems that arise with regard to bankruptcy.
Course content
The course deals with general characteristics of bankruptcy procedures and their features; legal status of participants in these procedures; types of procedures used in bankruptcy proceedings; the specifics of bankruptcy law application and the main theoretical and practical issues arising in connection with the introduction, implementation and completion of bankruptcy proceedings. The course provides students with the knowledge on the application of Ukrainian legislation to bankruptcy procedures regulation, and relevant skills, the ability to identify problems of legal regulation, ways to solve them.

Assessment methods and criteria
Types of formative assessment are chosen by the teacher who conducts practical lessons in compliance with the course syllabus. The teacher who conducts seminars processes students’ points scored during coursework and enters them in the student performance evaluation documents. If a student is absent from a seminar for a valid reason, s/he may complete the missed lesson in extracurricular time within 7 days after this lesson was missed, during the teacher's consultation. The procedure is carried out by means of oral questioning or another type of task set by the teacher. Points for missed classes are not awarded. At the end of the semester, missed classes are not completed.
