Learning outcomes
The objectives of the discipline are aimed at forming the following competencies in students: to analyze social processes in the context of the issue of contractual relations regulation in the area of intellectual property and IT law and demonstrate their own vision of ways to solve them; explain the nature of certain events and processes with an understanding of the professional and social context; demonstrate the sufficient knowledge and understanding of the nature and content of basic legal institutions and regulations of intellectual property law.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites for mastering the discipline: 1. Know the main aspects of the formation and development of legal institutions; general principles of legal regulation of civil relations, the system of contractual obligations. 2. Be able to assess and determine the role and objectives of contractual regulation of intellectual property relations and IT law. 3. To have basic skills in drafting legal documents and, taking into account the peculiarities of the practical situation, to resolve conflicts that arise in the area of contractual obligations.
Course content
The discipline "Contracts in the Area of Intellectual Property and IT Law" is part of the cycle of professional training of specialists of educational and qualification level "Bachelor" in "Law" at the Education and Research Law School of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The main components of the discipline are the formation of competencies aimed at demonstrating scientific approaches, basics of methodology and research methods of contracts in the area of intellectual property and IT law; ability to assess and analyze legal issues and practical situations in the area of implementation of contractual principles of disposal of intellectual property rights to information technology.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The study of the discipline involves lectures and practical classes; express survey/testing/essay (abstract) on the proposed topic; modular test work; self-study in preparation for seminars; credit (exam).
Assessment methods and criteria
Types of ongoing performance evaluation include: express survey, report, scientific paper, testing (multiple choice tests), case solving (problems), module test (final test). Things to be assessed in the process of ongoing performance evaluation are: the level of knowledge demonstrated by the student during seminars, the level of activity in discussing the issues of the seminar, systematic work in the classroom, self-study and individual assignments results. The discipline is taught for one term. 10 days before the beginning of the session, the teacher running the seminars no longer accepts missing assignments. For students who have not scored the minimum level of assessment, a final test is run.
