Learning outcomes
Know the sources of social standards, their system and matter; the matter of social standards in the field of labor, in the field of social security, in the field of education, culture, housing, minimum social standards in world practice; social standards of the European countries; implementation of social standards in the world.
Be able to use the concepts and categories of social standards in the world, properly analyze and apply relevant norms on social standards in the legislation of the world, identify patterns of social standards in modern conditions, find legal ways to protect rights arising from social standards in the world, prepare materials necessary to resume the violated social rights.

Know the matter and structure of the social sphere: the prerequisites for its formation and development; human social needs as a basis for the formation of social rights; the need for regulatory support of social standards; the concept, matter and system of international social standards; sources of social standards, their system and matter; the matter of social standards in the field of labor, social security, education, culture, housing; minimum social standards in world practice; social standards of the European countries; implementation of social standards in the world.
Possess the skills of dealing with legal acts in the field of international legal regulation of social standards, skills to analyze the relationship between the legislation of different countries and international norms in the field of regulatory provision and implementation of social standards in the world, and the analysis of practical application of social standards.
Course content
Social standards: concepts, matter, classification and development trends. International social standards and their sources. Social standards in the system of social protection of the population of the world. Social standards in the field of labor in the world. Social standards of life quality in the system of social development of the world. Minimum social standards in world practice. Social standards of the European countries. Implementation of social standards in the world.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Verbal: explanation, discussion, lecture, seminar, individual work and tasks.
Visual: illustration, demonstration, self-observation.
Practical: analysis of current local law-making practice, judicial practice, practical tasks.
Assessment methods and criteria
The minimum score to be obtained by a student according to the established forms of assessment is 24 points. The maximum score that can be obtained by a student per semester is 40 points. The envisaged forms of semester assessment cannot exceed 40 points in total.
The maximum final grade for this discipline can be 100 points. A student can receive a maximum of 60 points in the credit, to which the points obtained by the student during seminars are added. To obtain an overall positive grade in the discipline, the grade for the credit may not be less than 36 points. If the student scored less than 36 points, the latter are not added to the semester grade (regardless of the number of points obtained during the semester), the information in the “credit score” column is “0” and only the number of points obtained during the semester is transferred to the “resulting grade” column.
