Learning outcomes
Achievement by students of such competencies, skills and abilities as: the ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis, the ability to apply knowledge of Roman private law to understand modern practical situations, mastering modern doctrines, concepts of private law and individual private legal institutions, perception of the basics of European private law and the practice of the European Court of Human Rights, the ability to realize and exercise the rights and obligations of participants in private relations, the ability to work with sources of Roman private law, the ability to work with sources of Roman private law, the ability to work with sources of Roman private law.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the legal nature of private law, the relationship between private and public law, the main stages of development of the Roman state, Roman private law.
2. Be able to assess and determine the role of Roman private law, distinguish between the institutions of Roman private law, determine the essence of individual legal structures and their change at a certain socio-economic stage of society, determine the impact of Roman private law on modern civil models and relations.
3. To have basic skills in analyzing the circumstances of the proposed cases, to determine the legal relationship that has developed, the sources of their regulation, and ways to resolve them.
Course content
Forms of teaching and teaching methods of this discipline are aimed at studying the basic principles, doctrinal principles, legal sources, individual concepts, terms, definitions, definitions, legal categories and institutions of the Roman state and law, features of the phenomenon of reception of Roman law and legal regulation of public and private law. relations and basic constructions of private law, which retain their scientific and practical significance in the analysis and development of modern legal understanding. Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, self-studying work of the student on the basis of textbooks, abstracts, methodical recommendations, consultations with the teacher
Assessment methods and criteria
The forms of student assessment include: express survey; colloquium; report; testing (select the correct ones from a set of judgments); module test; case study.
The minimum score to be obtained by a student on the relevant forms of assessment during the semester is 24 points, the maximum score is 40 points.
During the current control of seminars, the following are subject to evaluation: the level of knowledge demonstrated by the student in the answer, activity in discussing the issues of the seminar, systematic work in the classroom, and the results of homework.
Students may make up seminars missed for valid reasons.
A student who has not reached the minimum threshold grade level (24 points) for those learning outcomes that cannot be assessed during the final examination may not be allowed to take the final examination.
The final assessment of student knowledge takes place during the test (maximum score - 60).
