Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the basics of entrepreneurship and management in the field of culture, recreation and entertainment. 2. To be able to collect and interpret information about the phenomena and phenomena of culture, cultural processes and events; apply basic terms and categories regarding the organization of business in the field of culture, recreation and entertainment; to use general and special research methods and tools necessary to solve the problems of cultural studies. 3. Possess the skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding political, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena; practical use of professional knowledge, abilities and skills.
Course content
The discipline "Economics of culture" introduces students to the economic principles of business organization in the field of culture, recreation and entertainment. The organizational and legal foundations of entrepreneurial activity in the sphere of culture, recreation and entertainment are considered. The peculiarities of economic planning of activities in the sphere of culture, recreation and entertainment are studied. The essence, types and analysis of the effectiveness of the use of fixed and current assets of business entities in the field of culture are revealed. Familiarization with the essence, classification and accounting of expenses of business entities in the field of culture is conducted. The method of determining the financial results of economic activity in the sphere of culture, recreation and entertainment is considered. The organizational and economic principles of business investment in the sphere of culture, recreation and entertainment are studied.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of semester work: 1. Solving computational and analytical tasks and situational exercises: 18 / 30 points 2. Self-study (development of operational financial plan): 15 / 25 points 3. Self-study (development of a business plan): 15/25 points The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (calculation and analytical tasks, situational exercises) and for independent work (development of a financial plan and business plan). All types of work for the semester have as a result: - in the maximum dimension of 80 points - a minimum of 48 points Final control work in written form - 12 / 20 points The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test.
