Learning outcomes
2. Confidently possess the state and foreign languages for the implementation of written and oral communication, including for scientific and professional

8. Systematize the facts of the religious life of society, interpret religious events and phenomena on the basis of understanding the specifics of the influence of religion on social processes.
12. Plan and carry out scientific research in the field of religious studies, choose effective research methods and tools, analyze the results,

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the course, the student must:
1. Know the main conceptual approaches to the analysis of religion as a phenomenon; the history of the emergence and development of various world religions.
2. To be able to use information and communication technologies; search, process and analyze information from various sources; collect and interpret information on cultural phenomena and events; to analyze the essence, properties and other systemic characteristics of the phenomenon of religion using special methods of religious studies.
3. Possess basic skills of scientific research and academic writing; demonstrate the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources; use of information and communication technologies.
Course content
The educational discipline has a practical nature and focuses on the formation of students' skills in translating academic religious literature into English
language, as well as understanding the contexts of use and interpretation of key terms that form the basis of modern Western religious studies.

Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of mastering the material from all topics of the academic discipline. The overall semester grade consists of points obtained for 1) classroom work (oral answers, participation in discussions during classroom classes); 2) independent written work. Final evaluation in the form of an exam.
