Learning outcomes
To know: theoretical concepts and methodologies of human resource management in the field of culture; tasks, duties, rights, responsibilities and competences of staff in various fields of culture; the specifics of managing the development of staff competencies and staff motivation processes; specifics of leadership and leadership styles in cultural institutions. Be able to: analyse the problems of staff management in cultural institutions; manage the development of personnel policy in cultural institutions; develop and make decisions on the management of cultural institutions and their structural units; manage the development of staff competence in the field of culture. Communication: present research results in the form of reports, presentations and recommendations; engage in debate on issues of personnel policy in cultural institutions. Autonomy and responsibility: to be responsible for the accuracy of the research conducted.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Prior to taking this course, students should know the main stages of formation and development of cultural institutions to modern organisational and legal forms, the peculiarities of modern institutionalised activities in the field of culture and the mechanisms of management of socio-cultural activities. 2. To be able to: collect and interpret information on cultural phenomena, cultural processes and events; have skills of scientific research and information management, development of projects and programmes for the management of socio-cultural activities and making optimal decisions in solving problems of cultural institutions; 3. Possess basic skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting in relation to political, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional cultural information sources.

Methodology of human resources management Theme 4. Human Resources Policy and Planning in Cultural Institutions independent work with regulatory documents (analysis of the regulatory framework for human resources management). Topic 5. Recruitment and personnel records management in cultural institutions Topic 6. Regulation of labour activity and management of human resources development in the field of culture Topic 7. Management of motivational processes and remuneration in the cultural sector Topic 8. Leadership and leadership styles in cultural institutions Presentation of an independent study of leadership theories, motivation theories and group dynamics theories Theme 9. Strategies and styles of human resource management in conflict resolution Topic 10. Evaluation and certification of staff in cultural institutions
