Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the basic principles of determining the duration of the historical-philosophical process; principles and established
approaches to the periodization of the history of philosophy, the basis of the use of a paradigmatic approach to the analysis of the phenomena of the history of philosophy.
2. To be able to analyze the material, work with texts, possess the categorical apparatus of historical and philosophical research; apply the methodological tools of historical and philosophical research, compile the source base of the research;
3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding political, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena; the use of foreign language specialized historical and philosophical informative sources.
Course content
This course is devoted to the study of the history of European philosophy of the 16th-18th centuries, which is a relatively complete stage during which the
prerequisites for the development of modern world philosophy and science. This is the period of formation and development of classical European philosophy, when the schools and trends characteristic of the new philosophy are formed, the main theoretical concepts and principles are formulated, and the foundations of a new rational worldview and social organization are laid. Discipline "NEW PHILOSOPHY of the XVI-XVIII centuries." plays an important role in future specialists' mastering of the philosophical array of information about this stage of the history of Western European philosophy. In addition, the discipline "NEW PHILOSOPHY of the XVI-XVIII centuries." focused on the acquisition of practical skills by students: the ability to process, understand and interpret philosophical texts and teachings, to give them explanations and assessments.

Assessment methods and criteria
The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures.
For students who scored a total of less than the critical minimum of 60 points, in order to receive credit, it is necessary to complete the missed topics in writing and submit/send by e-mail to the teacher conducting the seminar classes.
Thus, the final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 48, maximum 80 points) and the final test (minimum 12, maximum 20 points).
