1. To understand the subject area, ethical and legal principles of professional activity. 2. Communicate fluently in the state and one of the foreign languages in oral and written and one of the foreign languages orally and in writing in professional activities. 4. Have professional communication skills. 16. To present the results of theoretical and applied research to specialists and a wide audience, the media, experts from other fields of knowledge.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before studying this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical process; basic general scientific theories and methods of research; the laws of logic and basic requirements for correct thinking; the main works of classical Ukrainian literature and foreign literature. Be able to collect and interpret information about certain phenomena, phenomena or processes; identify patterns and features of the subjects of research. Possess basic skills of scientific research and information management; critical thinking and forecasting in relation to historical, socio-political, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional informative sources.
Course content
1. The essence and goals of rhetoric as a science. Specificity of the rhetorical approach in the study of communication practice. 2.Persuasion as a basic category of rhetoric. modes of persuasion. 3. The concept of “will to power”. “Rhetorical culture” and its importance in the development of society. 4. Forms (formats) of speech communication. The main genres of oratory speeches. 5. Sections of classical rhetoric. Basic principles of invective as a section of rhetoric. 6. Basic principles of disposition as a section of rhetoric.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control of knowledge is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.4), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.4); (communication 3.1-3.2); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.2), which accounts for 60% of the total grade.
