Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully study the course, students must first master the courses "General Psychology", "Pedagogical Psychology", "Age Psychology"; to know the theoretical foundations of developmental psychology, factors and basic mechanisms of personality formation, mastery of skills and abilities to analyze scientific literature, prepare essays, presentations, and lead discussions.
Course content
The discipline "Psychology of Higher Education" is included in the list of compulsory educational components of the Educational and Scientific Program. The subject is the psychological foundations of the educational process and pedagogical interaction in higher education institutions, as well as the psychological mechanisms of the formation of a professional personality. The course content covers the theoretical and methodological foundations of higher education psychology, its conceptual and categorical apparatus, the peculiarities of the student as a subject of educational and professional activity, adaptation to studying at a higher education institution, peculiarities of student group development, psychological aspects of the university teacher's activity, and the basis for the development of his or her professionalism; and psychological patterns of pedagogical interaction between the teacher and the student.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control of knowledge is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training-learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1–1.3), which is 30% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training-learning outcomes (skills 2.1–2.4); (communication 3.1); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1), which is 70% of the total grade.
