Learning outcomes
PLO 3. Apply modern methods and technologies for successful and effective implementation of professional activities and ensuring the quality of scientific research in the field of Ukrainian philology. PLO 6. Apply knowledge of expressive, emotional, logical means of language and speech technique to achieve the planned pragmatic result and organize successful communication PLO 14. Explain the essence of specific philological questions and author's point of view on them both to specialists and to the general public. PRN 25.2. Knowledge of basic concepts, categories, theories of modern political linguistics and media speechwriting PRN 27.2. Knowledge of PR technologies in media communication.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
2.1. Know theoretical foundations of stylistics, media linguistics, traditional and modern scientific paradigms of the modern Ukrainian language. 2.2. Be able to distinguish texts created for the purpose of manipulative influence. 2.3. Have elementary skills of recognizing the phenomena of media influence, as well as techniques and methods of traditional linguistic text analysis.
Course content
Students' knowledge of modern media communication strategies implemented in appropriate tactics and methods of influence is systematized. Psycholinguistic and sociolinguistic aspects of the main communicative media strategies are considered, informative and manipulative media strategies are distinguished.

Assessment methods and criteria
The credit is based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not include additional assessment measures. The students who scored a total of less than 60 points during the semester must prepare material in the form of writing control works, essays, or, if necessary, write a final test.
