Learning outcomes
PLO 7. Analyse, compare and classify different trends and schools of thought in Turkish linguistics and Turkic literature. PLO 11. Carry out scientific analysis of linguistic and literary material, interpret and structure it with due regard for appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalisations based on independently processed data. PLO 13. Explain the essence of specific philological issues and one's own point of view on them and its justification in an accessible and reasoned manner to both specialists and the general public, including students.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before studying this course, students should have the skills of critical attitude to the analysed linguistic phenomena; use of foreign language professional informative sources; work with diverse texts in Turkish, because the discipline "Polycriticism of Turkish-language fiction" is a part of the cycle of professional training of specialists of the master's degree and involves the analysis of the main approaches to the periodisation of modern Turkish literature and the peculiarities of literary trends, their concepts and representatives of modern Turkish prose, analyses of different genres of fiction and familiarizing students with the works of writers in this field.
Course content
"Polycriticism of Turkish-language fiction" is considered as an academic discipline, the subject of which is the study and acquaintance with the conceptual foundations of the analysis of polycriticism of fiction; psychoanalysis of psychological prose in Turkish contemporary literature; study of the specifics of contemporary Turkish socio-political poetry and prose; methodology of the specifics of Turkish modernism, the direction of feminist discourse in prose in Turkey. The aim of the discipline is to analyse the genre modification of sociological, artistic poetry and prose in the context of social, ethical and philosophical themes in the contemporary Turkish literary process, its genre specificity and the works of Turkish writers.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Work with textual corpora of Turkish prose and poetry; oral presentation, preparation of presentations, written work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills), which accounts for 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Work in practical classes (preparation of assignments, oral response, work with dictionaries, text corpora, the Internet, written work, translation of audiovisual materials): 12 - 30 points. 2. Translations (independent work): 4 - 10 points. 3. Module test: 15 - 20 points. 4. Test: 14 - 20 points.
