Learning outcomes
PLO 3. To apply modern methods and technologies, including information technologies, for the successful and effective implementation of professional activities and ensuring the quality of scientific research in the field of Turkish philology. PLO 14. Create, analyse and edit texts of various styles and genres. PLO 19. Possess the necessary knowledge and skills to provide interpretation from Turkish into Ukrainian or English and vice versa at various stages of court proceedings, during conferences of various professional orientations and in other areas and industries.

Know the basic principles of translation theory and basic translation strategies; Possess the skills of finding equivalents to translations of terms in specific fields; Be able to identify the specifics of texts from different discourses and fields.
Course content
The discipline "Sectoral Translation by Language Area" is an elective discipline included in Elective Block 2 "Translation Studies". The discipline is aimed at studying the specifics of translation of texts in various fields of knowledge, areas, as well as methods of practical activity in the field of translation, formation of professional competence of future translators. during the study of the discipline, the texts of priority for the current economic realities of Ukraine and promising for economic relations between Ukraine and Turkey are worked out, namely: medicine (including medical tourism), energy, construction, military subjects, light industry, agriculture, computer.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The discipline is taught in the form of practical classes and ends with an exam. The course is divided into 7 thematic units. The course covers a range of methods that a future specialist translator will use when translating texts in specific fields, and various aspects of translation. The discipline is focused on acquiring the skills and knowledge necessary for future specialists to translate texts in six industries and areas, and to replenish the relevant vocabulary: medicine (including medical tourism), energy, construction, military, light industry, and agriculture.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills), which accounts for 60% of the total grade. 1. Written translation with the use of dictionaries and Internet resources: 12 - 20 points. 2. Oral response (interpretation): 6 - 10 points. 3. Translation of the proposed video material and editing of texts: 6 - 10 points. 4. Control work: 12 - 20 points. 5. Exam: 24 - 40 points.
