PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary facts, interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres in the field of Japanese philology. PLO 11. Carry out scientific analysis of linguistic, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data.

Distance form

1) general theoretical training obtained within the framework of bachelor's educational programs; 2) successful mastery of the disciplines "Practice of Japanese translation", "Theory of Japanese translation", "Lexicology of the Japanese language", "Theoretical grammar of the Japanese language", etc. in various courses within the framework of bachelor's educational programs; 3) Japanese language proficiency at the functional level.

The course is taught in the first semester in the amount of 120 hours (among them are 20 hours of lectures, 20 hours of practical classes and 80 hours of independent work). The discipline is designed to provide a qualitative professional study of the main trends in the methodology and theory of translation, in particular translation from Japanese and English into Ukrainian and vice versa; to form students' objective scientific knowledge of the methodology of translation, to deepen understanding of the specifics of the development of modern science of translation theory; to improve professional knowledge of the optimal amount of relevant terminological apparatus necessary for the full analysis and interpretation of texts of different styles in translation.

The final assessment is conducted in the form of a complex exam: • the maximum number of points in the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points (positive mark) that are added to the semester marks is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points allocated for the exam); • the exam assesses the following learning results: RN 1.1, RN 1.2, RN 1.3; RN 1.4; RN 2.2; RN 2.3; RN 4.1; • the exam is conducted in the written form, the exam paper consists of four tasks: 2 theoretical questions with open answers, each of which is evaluated with 5 points; 2 practical tasks, each of which is evaluated with a maximum of 15 points.
