Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Confidently speak a foreign language for written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; present the results of their research in a foreign language. Apply knowledge of expressive, emotional, logical means of language and speech techniques to achieve the planned pragmatic result and organise successful communication. Collect and systematise linguistic and literary facts, interpret texts of different styles and genres. ELO 13. Explain the essence of specific philological issues and one's own point of view on them and its justification to both specialists and the general public, including students, in an accessible and reasoned manner. ELO 14. Create, analyse and edit texts of different styles and genres.

Course content
The discipline involves the acquisition and improvement of students' necessary knowledge of lexical-semantic, lexical-grammatical and stylistic rules and laws of the Russian language; development of in-depth functional and stylistic ideas, formation of skills of internal typological systematic comprehension of different styles of speech; improvement of speech skills through the practical use of acquired knowledge, which contributes to the formation of professional skills of a teacher of Russian as a foreign language.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Practical classes, independent work. The leading approaches in the organisation of training sessions are problem-based and communicative, aimed at ensuring the automation of skills in all types of speech activities. Methods: theoretical, empirical, analytical (with elements of synthesis), work with a dictionary, textbook and work with a literary text; observation of language and speech; technologies: group work (dialogue, dialogue, group discussion, modelling and analysis of a speech situation, business games).
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral answers, analysis of texts of different styles, the CMC and analysis of its results, the exam. Assessment of student knowledge and skills is carried out systematically, in accordance with the thematic plan of practical classes.
