Knowledge of the general structure of the modern Czech language.
Course content
To acquaint students with the basic concepts and concepts of those sections of linguistics that study the verbal interaction of communicators depending on the goals of communication and the intentions of the communicators, to get an idea of the rules to which communication is subject; to form such an approach to the vision and use of language, in the context of which it is understood not only as a means of reflecting reality and transmitting information, but as the main means by which a person: a) declares his presence in the world; b) performs self-presentation; c) affects another person; d) changes the world.

Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, blitz surveys, tests, presentation defense) and for independent work (presentation preparation). All types of work for the semester have a total of: a maximum of 60 points; minimum 36 points.
