Course content
Communicative strategies are both the means of speech that the speaker uses as his resources, and the activation of the abilities and skills he has developed, which are necessary for the successful satisfaction of communicative needs, depending on specific goals, in the most economical and convenient way. The use of communicative strategies can be considered as the implementation of the following cognitive principles: 1) planning of the speech act; 2) its execution; 3) control over its implementation; 4) corrections in various types of communicative activity: reception (perception), interaction (interaction), production; 4) mediation. The term "strategies" means adopting a certain line of speech behavior in order to achieve the best results. Within the pragmalinguistic approach, we define communicative strategies as a set of speech actions aimed at achieving a communicative goal. Students learn to implement such communicative strategies in practice - presentational, manipulative, campaigning, argumentative, informative, criticism rejection strategies, warnings, predictions, self-justification, etc.
