Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the main stages of the literary process, understanding of the identity of individual periods of the development of English-language literature. 2. The ability to operate with the basic terminology and conceptual apparatus of literary studies. 3. Possession of literary analysis skills.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to acquaint students with the leading theories of Western literary theorists. The course aims to present a number of key, currently relevant literary and interdisciplinary methodologies for the analysis of a work of art. Taught in English, the course includes reading of original texts or fragments of texts.
