Prerequisites and co-requisites
The program is designed for students of the 2nd year of the educational and qualification level "Master" of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology, direction "Philology" ( "English Communication Studies and translation and two Western European languages"), who have an appropriate level of language training. It is worth noting that the proposed practice has room for the application of the entire complex of knowledge and skills acquired by students in the process of study: knowledge of languages, literature, culture, socio-humanitarian complex of disciplines, basics of communication, methods of teaching a foreign language, pedagogy and psychology, etc.
Course content
The course of educational and production (assistant) practice is a component of the educational and professional training program for specialists at the educational and qualification level "master" in the direction of training "Philology", OP "Modern English-language communication and translation and two Western European languages". Practice takes place in the 3rd semester (in the 2nd year) in the amount of 180 hours. (6.0 ECTS credits)

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Learning activities consist of passive and active part of practice, as well as preparation of credit documentation. Teaching methods include familiarization with educational and methodological support of the educational process, familiarization with the class (classes); attending the teacher's lessons; analysis of the teacher's lesson; conducting lessons; mutual attendance of lessons; analysis of a student's lesson; plans-summaries of credit lessons; psychological characteristics of the class.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final assessment takes the form of a differentiated credit. The grade is formed as the sum of all points scored during the semester for each type of activity: acquaintance with the educational and methodological support of the educational process, acquaintance with the class (classes) – min 3 / max 5; attendance of teacher’s lessons – min 3 / max 5; analysis of teacher’s lesson – min 3 / max 5; conducting lessons – min 24 / max 40; attendance of peers’ lessons – min 9 / max 15; analysis of peer’s lesson – min 3 / max 5; lesson plans-summaries – min 12 / max 20; psychological characteristics of the class – min 3 / max 5. Evaluation is based on a 100-point scale: 0-59 – failed; 60-100 – passed.
