Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To have deep knowledge of the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages for the written and oral communication purposes, professional and scientific communication in particular; to present research results in the official (Ukrainian) and foreign languages. PLO 5. To find optimal ways of the effective interaction in a team of professionals and with the representatives of other professional groups on different levels. PLO 10. To collect and systematise linguistic, literary and folklore facts, to interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres (depending on the specialisation elected). PLO 14. To create, analyze and edit texts of different styles and genres.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of practical and theoretical the French language courses taught during two semesters of master's studies, and the ability to translate French texts; the ptactice is based on the cycle of professional and practical training disciplines, including "The French Language", "Communicative Strategies and Translation (Semester 1, 2)".
Course content
The goal of the master's translation practice is to consolidate and deepen theoretical knowledge in the field of French linguistics and translation, to test and improve translation skills in practice.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
• conducting instructional meetings for students in order to acquaint them with the bases of practice, the translation practice program, the requirements for formulating practical documentation, the reporting system and evaluation criteria for practice, and receiving individual assignments from their immediate supervisors; • familiarization with the structure of the organization of industrial practice, with the translator's workplace and study of his functional duties; • execution of a written translation of various functional orientations from French to Ukrainian (minimum 30 pages) or from Ukrainian to French (minimum 25 pages) according to the intern's task; • study of professional terminology related to the features of the institution's functioning, compilation of a French-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-French dictionary-glossary (minimum 100 units); • drawing up a report on the completion of production translation practice.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final grade is formed by: 1) points received by the student based on the results of the completed work, reflected in the report; 2) points received for the final assessment. The maximum distribution is carried out according to the following algorithm: 80 points (80%) - evaluation of a written report on practice; and 20 points (20%) – final evaluation). The final assessment of the student's knowledge, abilities and skills acquired in practice 8 is established on a 100-point scale with subsequent conversion to a four-point rating scale.
