PLO 1. To evaluate own educational, scientific and professional activities, build and implement an effective strategy for self-development and professional self-improvement. PLO 2. To speak the state and foreign languages confidently for written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; present research results in the state and foreign languages. PLO 3. To apply modern methods and technologies, including information technologies, for the successful and effective professional activities and ensuring the quality of research in the field of Spanish linguistics and translation. PLO 5. To find optimal ways for effective interaction in the professional community and with representatives of other professional groups at various levels.

Full-time form

Successful mastery of general humanities and special disciplines related to the theory of translation studies ("Communicative Practices", "Comparative Linguistics and Translation (Spanish and Ukrainian)", "Sociolinguistics. Dialectology", "Genre Theories of Translation", "Discourse Studies of Translation", "Contemporary Spanish Language Contacts and Translation", "Linguopoetics and Literary Translation") taught during three semesters of the Master's programme. Students must have basic knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of translation.

The elective component "Translation Internship (Spanish)" is aimed at mastering modern forms, means and technologies of translation activities in various types of enterprises and developing a creative, research approach to its organisation. It develops professional skills and practical knowledge in the field of translation. Production translation practice involves students translating texts of various functional orientations from Spanish into Ukrainian and from Ukrainian into Spanish in order to develop skills and abilities of bilateral translation of texts of general and specialised subjects.

The evaluation of the translation practice is based on a written report on the translation practice completed in accordance with the established requirements. The maximum number of points for the internship report is 80 points, the minimum number of points (positive grade) is 48 points (60% of the maximum number of points allocated for the report); Final assessment. The form of final assessment in translation practice is a test. The test is conducted in the form of a presentation of the results of the translation practice. A differentiated grade is assigned based on the results of the assessment. The maximum number of points for the final assessment is 20 points, the minimum number of points (positive assessment) is 13 points
