Learning outcomes
PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary, folklore facts, interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialization). PLO 16. Use specialized conceptual knowledge in the field of Chinese philology to solve complex problems and problems that require knowledge updating and integration, often in conditions of incomplete/insufficient information and conflicting requirements. PLO 19.2 Application of knowledge on current problems of Chinese linguistics in professional scientific and practical activities. PLO 20.2 Application of knowledge of Chinese lexicographic tradition, typology and specifics of using various lexicographic sources.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. successful study of the disciplines "Culture of speech: academic and business discourse", "Communicative strategies of the Chinese language, etc. 2. knowledge of linguistic terminology and basic laws of language development to the extent necessary for proper processing of theoretical and applied issues studied within the proposed discipline; 3. possession of practical skills of working with lexicographic sources of various types and formats.
Course content
The goal of the academic discipline is an in-depth study of the lexicographic heritage of China in the context of the main areas of research in Chinese linguistics and the understanding of lexicographic trends and perspectives in the context of the intensification of globalization processes and technical progress. The academic discipline "Lexicographic Tradition of China" is a mandatory component of the multi-semester discipline of the elective block "Chinese Studies: Linguistic Studies" and is taught in the 2nd and 3rd semesters in accordance with the curriculum of the educational and professional program "Oriental Philology, Western European Language and Translation: Chinese Language and Literature ". The course includes 2 content parts according to the number of semesters.

Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.4), which makes up 40% of the total assessment, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.3); (communication 3.1); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.2), which is 60% of the total grade. Evaluation of the semester work is carried out in the following forms: oral response at the seminar class, additions, participation in the discussion, blitz survey, control work with open answers, preparation and defense of the presentation.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which includes the unsupervised work as well on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, tests, presentation defense) and for independent work (presentation preparation). All types of work for the semester have as a result: In case of the credit: - in the maximum dimension of 100 points,- a minimum of 60 points.In case of absence from the seminar session, the student must complete the assignment for the seminar.
