Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully complete the course, students must first master the courses: introduction to linguistics, lexicology, grammar, stylistics, phonetics: theoretical and applied aspects; to know the theoretical foundations of general linguistics.
Course content
The goal of the discipline: the program primarily provides mastery of fundamental knowledge, skills and abilities. The main goal of Learning is the basic types of speech activity: reading, writing, speaking, listening.Abstract. The course "The Second Oriental Language (Japanese): Practical Course" is aimed at forming basic skills and abilities in the Japanese language on the basis of the topics provided by the program, which are reflected in such main areas of communication as professional, cultural and everyday. On the basis of this type of training, further specialization is possible in order to improve basic and special types of speech activity in accordance with a specific job profile. The discipline ends with a test.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The control system consists of current, milestone and final stages. Current control is carried out in the form of an oral frontal survey in the process of conversation, discussion during practical classes. Border control — in the form of tests that cover the issues of the studied topics. The final control is passing the exam. The final control work is performed at the final stage and involves identifying the level of students' mastery of theoretical material and acquired practical skills. In detail, the criteria for evaluating the types of works during the semester are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
The system of current, modular and final control consists of two content modules. The results of students' practical activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale.The maximum score for each content module is 30 points. The maximum score for the exam is 40 points. Setting the maximum number of points for content modules and calculating the final grade according to the cumulative system. The evaluation criteria are presented in detail in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
