Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully complete the course, students must first master the following courses: "Foreign language (Chinese)", "Theory of Chinese translation". Students must be proficient in Chinese (advanced level, no lower than HSK 5), as well as know the theory of translation, be able to practically apply modern methods and techniques of translation, possess relevant skills: application of theoretical knowledge of translation theory.
Course content
The purpose of translation full-time internship (Chinese language) is the formation of students on the basis of acquired theoretical knowledge of practical skills and translation skills in real socio-economic conditions, awareness of the professional significance of this knowledge; fostering in them the desire to systematically update and improve the acquired knowledge, creatively apply it in future professional activities.Abstract. Full-time translation internship is a complex process designed to ensure that students acquire professional translation skills to work as a translator from a foreign (Chinese) language. Translation internship contributes to the development of acquired knowledge and practical skills in the field of intercultural communication, the formation of the personal and motivational component of the professional competence of the students of education. During internship, students have the opportunity to develop the creative abilities of a philologist and improve their own translation style. The form of internship is full-time / on-line.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The following components of practice are provided: active practice (work as a translator from the Chinese language) and preparation of credit documentation (preparation of the translation and commentary on it, protection of reporting documentation, participation in the discussion of practice results). A student can score a maximum of 100 points and a minimum of 60 points for performing the prescribed types of work. The criteria for evaluating types of works are presented in detail in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
The overall assessment consists of the points received for all types of work performed during the internship, as well as the compilation and protection of credit documentation (maximum – 100 points, minimum – 60 points).
