Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully complete the internship, students must master the following disciplines: Ukrainian Literature of the XIX-XX centuries, Folklore of Ukrainian Literature, Ukrainian Linguistics of the XIX-XX centuries in the world context, Pedagogy, Information Technologies and Educational and Methodological Support of the Process of Teaching Languages and Literatures in High School, Methodological Principles and Modern Concepts of Teaching Ukrainian Language in High School. Students should also know: the system of the Ukrainian language, speak fluently and write text of high quality, history and trends in the development of Ukrainian literature; theory and methodology of teaching Ukrainian language and literature; basics of theory of modeling teaching technologies; be able to: effectively build the process of teaching Ukrainian language and literature in accordance with the requirements, goals and conditions of training.
Course content
The aim of the internship (pedagogical training) is to develop students' skills to plan, organize, manage the process of teaching Ukrainian language and literature to students of the professional oriented secondary school; to develop students' readiness to work as a teacher of Ukrainian language and literature in secondary school, as well as in higher education institutions of I-II accreditation levels. Abstract. Pedagogical pinternship (Ukrainian language and literature) is a complex process, which is an integral part of specialists training, which is designed to ensure the formation of professional and pedagogical skills in conducting educational work in a profession oriented secondary school. Pedagogical internship contributes to the development of professional self-awareness, the formation of theoretical, practical and personal-motivational components of students' professional competence; is focused on the formation of students' ability and willingness to develop and implement their own teaching methods in the educational process. The bases of practice are the institutions of the senior profile school.

Assessment methods and criteria
With a 100-point assessment system used, a final grade for the internship is a sum of the points earned for the formative assessment: 1) Tacid teacher training (40 points); 2) active teacher training (36 points). A lesson observation weighs 1 point: 40 lessons x=40 points. Each lesson given by a student weighs 1 point: 36 lessons x 1 = 36 points; 3) psychological characteristics of the class – 5 points; 4) lesson plans (14 points); 5) defendence of teaching portfolio (5 points). During the assessment a student can earn maximum 100 points and minimum – 60 points. Summative assessment construct includes such learning outcomes (LO): LO 1.1-1.4, LO 2.1-2.6; LO 3.1-3.3, LO 4.1-4.6
