Program Learning Outcomes PLO 15.1. Know and apply modern technologies of teaching English in academic high school, methodology of developing and implementing of innovative technologies in English language teaching in academic high school. PLO Au. 1. Be able to adapt to new situations and conditions for learning, make decisions in school settings. PLO Au. 2. Be able to recognize the importance of lifelong learning with the aim of increasing the acquired knowledge and gaining new professional knowledge to enhance personal development skills and to effectively organize the educational process. Prerequisites and co-requisites
To be eligible for the course students are required to know basic methodical concepts and categories, state standards, ways of their realization in different types of the fixed and extracurricular activity at profile school of academic type; be able to plan, organize an educational process at school, to realize professionally-practical principles of studies of foreign language, to manage cognitive activity of students, to fold the plan of study foreign language in school, on its basis work out lessons, conduct lesson and their fragments in a student audience, to analyse the employments conducted by students.
Course content
This course aim is to provide background for a student in becoming a competent English language teacher in realization the functions of teacher of profile school of academic type, to acquaint students with modern technologies of studies English at profile school of academic type. Abstract. This course involves formation of master students competence to analyse, choose and develop English learning techniques at profile school of academic type. Graduate students master modern theoretical methods of organising English teaching, basics of advanced training at different levels of English (lexical, grammatical, and stylistic), learn to foresee the results of teaching, select teaching materials, develop language teaching techniques to meet up-to-date demands of school students. Undergraduates are to master: theory and practice of analysis of learning technology; organizing of English learning contest at profile school of academic type; categories of modern methodology of English teaching necessary for contest and learning methods developing; principles, methods and techniques of formation of language, speaking and sociocultural competence of school students in accordance with established learning technology; methods of organizing extracurricular work at profile school of academic type; forms of control and assessment of levels of academic achievements of school students in foreign languages using established learning techniques. -

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is delivered a mixture of lectures, practical sessions аnd independent learning, and such methods as project work, problem solving lecture, discussion, academic conversation.
Assessment methods and criteria
During а semester major activities performed by the students include classroom assignments, projects work, module tests. A student can score maximum of 60 and minimum of 36 points for these activities, in particular: work on practical sessions – maximum 10 and minimum - 6 points; for project work - maximum 20 and minimum - 12 points; module tests - maximum 20 and minimum - 12 points; for independent learning - maximum 10 and minimum - 6 points. The course ends with an exam. who complete all components of the formative assessment will receive at the end of the term maximum 60 and minimum – 36 points. During the summative assessment (an exam) a student can earn maximum 40 and minimum – 24 points. Examination is conducted to be the writing one (an examination card consists of 2 theoretical and 2 practical tasks, each of that is estimated in 10 points maximum). Learning outcomes (LO): LO 1.1, - LO 1.2, LO 1.3, LO 1.4, LO 1.5, LO 1.6, LO 1.7, LO 1.8, LO 2.1-2.4, LO 4.1. (40/24 points).
