PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian and English PLO 23 Make, edit and translate written and oral texts of political or business discourse (Ukrainian and English).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the following courses: “Introduction to Linguistics”, “Introduction to Translation Studies”, “Practical Course of English”(1,2,3,4 semesters); Aria studies, written and oral translation of political texts (5,6,7,8 semesters); knowledge of the theoretical foundations of linguistics, basic categories of translation studies, the Ukrainian language (C2 level) and the English language (B2 level); basic computer skills.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to form and develop the basic skills of creating and editing that are necessary for the implementation of professional activities while working in the field of political linguistics. This discipline prepares students to carry out professional creating and editing activities while working with texts of political discourse, to differentiate their main sub-styles and genres.

Assessment methods and criteria
8 semester ends with an exam. The algorithm is 60(max)/36 (min) for the semester and 40(max)/20(min) for the exam. Assessment criteria: • answers during practical classes – min/ max. 6/10points; • written assignments – min/max. 6/10 points; • individual assignment – min/max 6/10 points; • group project- min/max 8/10 • tests -min/max. 8/20 points;
