PLO 1. Full-time form

1. Successful completion of courses: Introduction to Linguistics, Linguistic Studies, Lexicology and Phraseology, Philosophy; 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the general creation of a political text, the problem area of ​​rhetoric research, the distinction between agitation, propaganda and advertising; 3. Mastery of methods of free and flexible use of Ukrainian and English languages ​​in public discourse; the principles of collecting, accumulating, processing and searching for information; 4. The ability to work on the creation of texts for public speeches; ability to work individually and in a team.

The purpose is to acquaint students with the basic principles of the art of conducting a debate, key concepts of organizing and holding debates, techniques and methods of political debating; theory, history, the modern stage of development of rhetorical techniques of individual speeches and group discussions. The course is aimed at understanding the specifics of rhetorical, worldview and political techniques of debating. Methods of debating are specified, relevant techniques are explained. Within the discipline, intra-group and inter-group practical classes are held, students analyze different types of public discussions. The theoretical part of the course explains the prevailing definitions of "discussion", the leading directions of scientific research in the field of discussion and debate, the main concepts of successful public advertising and political campaigning. Students constantly work with text versions of famous historical discussions, study audio and video materials.

Methods: lecture, practical session, independent work Activities: oral answer, written answer, abstract, report, presentation, participation in thematic debates, final control tasks.

The form of final control is credit. According to the types of works, a student can score the following number of points: practical/seminar lesson: – from 0 to 5 points (5x12 = 60 points); abstract, report, presentation - from 0 to 10 points; participation in thematic debates - from 0 to 10 points; final test - from 0 to 20 points; The credit score is formed as the sum of all points scored during the semester: 0-59 – not counted, 60-100 credits.
