Learning outcomes
PLO 7. Understand the major issues of philology and approaches to solving those using relevant methods and innovative approaches. PLO 12. Analyse language units, determine their interaction, and characterize linguistic phenomena and the underlying processes. PLO 14. Use English in oral and written form, in different genre and style varieties and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), for solving communicative tasks in everyday, public, educational, professional and academic spheres of life. PLO 15. Perform linguistic, literary and translation analysis of texts of different styles and genres. PLO 17. Collect, analyse, systematize and interpret language and speech facts and use them to solve complex problems and tasks in specialized fields of professional activity and / or training.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful completion of the following courses: Introduction to Linguistics, Lexicology and Phraseology, Phonetics of SUM; 2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the organization of the lexical system of the Ukrainian language and categories of vocabulary, including terminology and business vocabulary; 3) mastering the skills of using dictionaries; principles of information search, collection and processing; the method of selecting templates, text models, including in Internet resources; 4) the ability to compose texts on business communication of various genres.
Course content
The discipline is aimed at mastering the skills necessary for the versatile analysis of language objects. Such an analysis is based on understanding the text as a speech act that has a social-psychological nature and may have legal consequences. The focus of linguistic expertise is the examination by experts of texts of various nature in order to solve key questions about: 1) real authorship of the text; 2) the psychosomatic state of the author: the text was written voluntarily or under the influence (pressure) of other persons, toxic substances, etc.; 3) interpretation of individual parts in the context of the whole; 4) interpretation of the text as a whole (and its parts) in accordance with certain legal principles; 5) the presence / absence of statements in the text that dishonor the honor and dignity, business reputation of other persons, that have signs of slander, threats, extremism, etc.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Methods: lecture, seminar class, independent work Activities: oral answer, written answer, abstract, report, presentation, group presentation (2-3 people), final control task.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final control form is an exam. According to the types of works, a student can score the following number of points: practical/seminar lesson: – from 0 to 50 points (10x5 = 50 points); abstract, report, presentation - from 0 to 16 points (2x8 = 16 points); performance of test tasks, written works - from 0 to 14 points (2x7 = 14 points); final test - from 0 to 20 points (1x20 = 20 points); The credit score is formed as the sum of all points scored during the semester: 0-59 – not counted, 60-100 credits.
