Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non-experts in Ukrainian and English in oral and written forms, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, supporters of different political views, etc. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian and English. PLO 20. Translate English written and oral texts into Ukrainian and from Ukrainian into English. PLO 22. Ability to edit and correct texts of various styles and genres in Ukrainian and English.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The English language general knowledge (B1), , reading and translating of the English texts ( A-2/B1), writing in English (A2/B1), listening ( A2/B1), basic computer skills.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to form and develop the language skills that are necessary for the implementation of professional interpreting activities: dialog/monolog; reading, writing, listening skills. This discipline prepares students to carry out professional interpreting activities.

Assessment methods and criteria
2 semester ends with an exam. The algorithm is 60(max)/36 (min) for the semester and 40(max)/20(min) for the exam. Assessment criteria: answers during practical classes – min/ max. 6/10points; written assignments – min/max. 6/10 points; individual tasks – min/max 8/10 points; listening assigments – min/max 6/10 : tests -min/max. 8/20 points;
