Course content
The aim of the discipline is to acquire in-depth theoretical knowledge for further translation of ethnocultural texts; to be able to analyze and discuss cultural heritage, historical past, everyday life, habits and traditions in the countries of the Spanish-speaking area; to create presentations, reports in a foreign language, drawing an analogy between cultural events, peculiarities of their celebration and holding in Ukraine and Spain. The course is aimed at developing the following competencies: General: ability to communicate in a foreign language; Professional: ability to determine the degree of value and uniqueness of cultural objects in the Ukrainian and international contexts; ability to adhere to the standards of professional ethics and intercultural communication. Annotation. The volume of the discipline "Practical Course of Spanish" is 30 credits, and provides for the following forms of control - credit in the first, third and fifth semesters and exam in the second, fourth and sixth semesters. The subject of the discipline is Spanish. This discipline introduces students to the structure of the modern Spanish language, the peculiarities of its use at different language levels; gives a clear picture of the linguistic picture of the world of the indigenous peoples of Spain; based on the linguistic and country studies aspect of language learning, introduces the culture, traditions, and way of life of the population of Spain and Latin America.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The discipline ends with a test. The final number of points in the discipline (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account two tests. The grade is based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who score a minimum positive score of 60 points receive a "pass" grade. Students who do not score the minimum positive score of 60 points receive a "fail" grade. Students who have scored less than 60 points in total during the semester must pass the test by completing material on the topics for which they have a debt in the form of writing independent works, creative tasks, essays, or, if necessary, write a test.
Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum number of points during the semester is 80 points, and is based on the following forms of control: independent, creative works, presentations performed in the process of independent work - 20 points (5*4), two intermediate module tests on four aspects of language competence - 40 points (20*2), completion of tasks on theoretical grammar, writing independent works - 20 points (5*4). The semester study of the discipline ends with a test in the fifth semester and is worth 20 points. The test includes: Grammar test - 10 points; Disclosure of an oral topic (depending on the completeness of the answers) - 10 points. Students who score less than the critical-calculated minimum of -50 points are not allowed to take the test. In order to be admitted to the test, it is necessary to pass the material on the topics on which the academic debt arose.
