PLO 2. Analyze, comment, generalize, scientific and analytical texts of an ethnocultural nature. PLO 4. Know and understand theoretical approaches to defining culture, its manifestations and forms of existence. PLO 7. To understand the factors of ethnocultural dynamics, the principles of periodization of ethnocultural processes, their specific features and characteristics.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the study of this discipline, students must have basic knowledge of the history of Ukraine, Ukrainian culture, the history of ethnocultural studies of the 19th century, and Ukrainian folk art.
On the basis of knowledge of the history of Ukrainian ethnocultural studies of the 19th century, world ethnocultural thought, be able to determine the mutual influence and place of Ukrainian ethnocultural studies in the world scientific discourse, independently analyze the scientific work of domestic and foreign cultural researchers - researchers of traditional culture.
Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management, a critical attitude to established stereotypes and provisions of existing research literature on the history of Ukrainian ethnocultural studies.
Course content
Purpose of discipline – to form knowledge about the peculiarities of the emergence and development of ethnocultural knowledge; subject and basic methods of ethnocultural studies in Ukraine.
Annotation. The discipline "History of Ethnocultural Studies" is multi-semester, belongs to the list of mandatory courses, is taught in two semesters of the bachelor's degree - in accordance with the curriculum of the educational and professional program "Ethnocultural Studies with Advanced Study of a Foreign Language". In the 3rd semester, "History of Ethnocultural Studies of the 19th Century" is taught, in the 4th semester, "History of Ethnocultural Studies of the 20th Century". The discipline is aimed at analyzing and studying the peculiarities of Ukrainian ethnocultural thought of the 1990s. – 30s of the XX century. and influence on the formation of the science of ethnoculture in Ukraine; the scientific discourse of the Soviet period of Ukrainian ethnocultural studies and current problems of the present are analyzed.

Assessment methods and criteria
The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment (exam). Admission to the exam requires the student to successfully complete assignments and work throughout the semester.
Therefore, the final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 36, maximum 60 points) and the final assessment - the exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points).
