Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Analyze, comment, generalize, scientific and analytical texts of an ethnocultural nature.
PLO 3. Create logically and structurally organized texts on issues of ethnocultural studies, according to specialization.
PLO 4. Know and understand theoretical approaches to the definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence.
PLO 7. To understand the factors of ethnocultural dynamics, principles of periodization of ethnocultural processes, their specific features and characteristics.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know:
current problems and methods of research, leading scientific theories in the field of history of cultural studies and ethnocultural studies; peculiarities of the organization of scientific and research work;
Be able to:
work with scientific literature, electronic sources in relevant fields, study them, adequately apply them in one's own scientific practice; form the object and subject of research; make generalizations and conclusions regarding trends in the development of the industry;
Possess skills:
scientific-research search and structural-systemic analysis of specialized literature; skills of analysis of material from the history of ethnocultural studies, formulation of conclusions regarding the conducted research work.
Course content
The course work on the history of ethnocultural studies is part of the scientific research
component of the educational program and is aimed at forming search, processing and analysis of information from various sources and expansion of students' special skills and knowledge innovative nature, analytical and creative application of this knowledge and production of new ones knowledge to solve the actual tasks of ethnocultural studies. For students to complete the coursework 60 hours of work is provided in the 4th semester. (2 ECTS credits). The coursework is being defended in the form of differentiated credit. The topic of the course work can be chosen according to the problem history of ethnocultural studies. The work is submitted to the scientific supervisor in writing (printed) form. There is a coursework on the history of ethnocultural studies original, completed research in the field of knowledge 03 "Humanities", specialty 034 "Culturology", which contains a set of results, provisions proposed for public protection.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Consultation with a supervisor, independent work on the research topic, writing a course work, preparing a presentation, and defending the course work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum grade for a term paper on folk art is 100 points.
The minimum positive grade is 60 points.
The total number of points consists of the sum of points, which includes:
• feedback from the supervisor (maximum 10 points)
• quality of research (maximum 50 points)
• defense-presentation of the course work (maximum 40 points)
