Learning outcomes
PLO 3. Create logically and structurally organized texts on issues of ethnocultural studies, according to specialization. PLO 8. Interpret ethno-cultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and defined methods, present reasoned conclusions about their content. PLO 14. Conduct a public discussion and support a dialogue on issues of Ukrainian culture with specialists and non-specialists. PLO 15. Communicate freely on professional matters orally and in writing in national and foreign languages, taking into account the purpose of communication and socio-cultural features of its context.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know: peculiarities of the system and levels of the Ukrainian language; norms of oral and written Ukrainian speech; peculiarities of genres of Ukrainian speech and styles of the sphere of professional use of the Ukrainian language. 2. To be able to: analyze texts of different genres, distinguish between styles and substyles of the Ukrainian language; create oral and written Ukrainian text according to the communicative task. 3. Possess communication skills in monologic and dialogic forms of speech.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to provide students with knowledge about the linguistic picture of the world of a specialist-culturalist, the phenomenon of the Ukrainian language of professional orientation, understanding the role of language in the communication of ethnoculturalists for popularization, teaching, research of Ukrainian verbal and non-verbal culture. The discipline is intended for deepening and systematization of language knowledge in the field of specialization, description of research and achievements of ethnocultural studies of Ukraine. The subject of the training course is the language activity of an ethnoculturalist in professional texts and strategies, the historical and functional aspects of the formation and development of the Ukrainian language in the process of preserving and popularizing Ukrainian traditional culture, oral and written speech in a professional monologue or dialogue. Special attention is focused on linguistic and behavioral norms of professional communication, features of oral communication in the genres of interviews, reports, as well as written in the genres of announcing cultural events, promoting festivals, texts of museum work, business correspondence.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Forms of education: lectures, practical, independent work. Throughout the semester, after the lectures on the relevant topics, practical classes are held, which are evaluated according to the types of work (oral answer, report at a scientific seminar, blitz survey, creative task, intermediate test in the forms of: modular test work and modular project.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester final grade is formed by the points received by the student during the semester for the types of work: answers in practical classes, modular control work and modular project. The final assessment takes place on the exam, the maximum distribution is carried out according to the following algorithm: 60 points (60%) - semester control and 40 points (40%) - exam). The minimum number of points on the exam (positive grade), which are added to the semester ones, is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam). The exam is conducted in the form of a written work (the exam ticket consists of 3 tasks - 1 - max. 10 points and 2 - max. 15 points each.
