As a result of the study of the previous courses, the students should have elementary ideas about the general properties and regularities of the nature that surrounds a person.
Course content
The course "Scientific image of the world" consists of one content part. The educational discipline is designed to acquaint students of the humanities faculties of the University with the history of the emergence and development of science in society, the achievements of its individual branches. This discipline should contribute to the formation in students of a modern scientific outlook, without which it is difficult to imagine the civilization of the 21st century.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Learning activities: lectures, individual consultations, independent work. Teaching methods: explanatory and illustrative method, method of problem-based learning (problem lecture), heuristic method, educational discussion, preparation and discussion of presentations, independent work of students.
Assessment methods and criteria
Current assessment: test, presentation, modular control work. Final assessment - credit. Evaluation criteria for each form of control are given in the course program.
