Learning outcomes
PLO 1. To communicate freely on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in state and foreign languages (Persian and English) orally and in writing, use them to organize effective intercultural communication. PLO 10. To know the norms of the literary English languages and be able to apply them in practical activities. PLO 11. To know the principles, technologies and methods of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in national and foreign (English) languages. PLO 14. To use the English languages in oral and written form, in different genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, everyday), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PLO 17. To collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them to solve complex problems and problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or learning.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know: the rules of phonetic design (stress, pause, intonation) of expressions of different types (dialogue, monologue) in accordance with the situation of intercultural communication; specifics of the morphological organization of the modern English language; functional and stylistic norms of using lexical units of the synonymous series, idioms, expressions in accordance with the situation of intercultural communication; peculiarities of the English language as a complete system. To be able: to produce prepared or unprepared monologue statements summarizing and/or supplementing the content of what was heard or seen, observing the laws of genre and style; to reproduce the content of the reading; and express one's own opinion about what one has read or heard, provide arguments for it; to use sociocultural knowledge and skills in foreign language communication.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to ensure the formation of students' communicative competence in the field of everyday and professional communication in oral and written forms and their achievement of the English language proficiency at the B2 level.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Training takes place in the form of practical tasks and self-study work of students, which involves preparation for oral answers, written and test tasks, presentations, and modular tests.
Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, evaluation is carried out in accordance with the specified types of work and forms of control. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who scored the minimum positive number of points - 60 - receive - "passed". Students who did not score the minimum positive number of points - 60 - receive - "failed". Students who scored a total of less than 60 points during the semester must compose material on the topics for which the debt arose, in the form of writing independent papers, in order to pass the credit.
