PLO 2. To work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, in particular from specialized literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, arrange, classify and systematize it. PLO 3. To organize the process of one’s learning and self-education. PLO 6. To use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized problems and problems of professional activity. PLO 17. To collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them for solving complex problems in specialized fields of professional activity and/or education. PLO 18. To have skills in managing complex actions or projects when solving complex problems in the professional field activities in the field of Iranian studies, as well as translation activities, and to be responsible for making decisions in the unpredictable conditions.

Successful mastering of the disciplines “Oriental language: basic level”, “Oriental language: intermediate level”, “Basics of Translation Practice”, “Lingual country studies of Oriental language”, “Introduction to Oriental philology”.

The purpose of the discipline is to The purpose of the discipline is to analyze the content of the forms and directions of information provision of philological science and to determine the peculiarities of their implementation in the field of Iranian studies; to form students’ competence in this field and their understanding of linguistic processes and phenomena of the Persian language for qualified and creative activities at various stages of future study and scientific work. The discipline belongs to the block of disciplines of the student's free choice and has a practical direction.

Learning activities comprise interactive lectures and seminar classes. Self-study of the students involves preparation for oral responses, reports with the analyses of Persian-language sites, presentations, and completion of information search tasks. The discipline belongs to the block of disciplines of the student's free choice and has a mainly practical orientation.

Semestral assessment is based on the oral responses, reports and presentations, completion of information search tasks – 36/60 points, modular test papers – 12/20 points, final control paper – 12/20 points. The credit is given based on the results of the student’s work throughout the entire semester and does not require additional assessment measures. Students who scored 60 points, the required minimum, receive “passed”. Students who failed to score 60 points, the required minimum, receive “failed”. Those students who scored totally less than 60 points during the semester period should complete a test paper in the items which he/she failed to pass. Final score 60-100 – passed; 0-59 – failed.
