Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses History of Foreign Literature; Fundamentals of Narratological Analysis; Methods of Teaching Foreign Literature in General Education Schools; and Innovative Methods of Teaching Foreign Literature in the School of Specialized, Special and Distance Education; Pedagogical Practice in Teaching Foreign Literature 2. Theoretical basis knowledge of methodology of literary research.
Course content
Bachelor’s Degree Paper is a complex form of control and final certification of bachelors’ graduates. The purpose of writing and defending the Bachelor’s Degree Paper is to establish the actual compliance of the level of educational and qualification training of the graduate with the requirements of the educational and qualification characteristics of the specialty (subject area). The qualification work of the bachelor tests and confirms the ability to carry out literary analysis of works of art using the latest methodologies, as well as modelling the teaching methods component for the implementation of research results in the educational process in secondary education.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Paper drafting includes stages of selection and approval of the topic, consultation with the academic advisor, research material sampling, work with sources and scientific theoretical, methodological and critical literature, planning, writing the paper, appropriate layout and defence.
Assessment methods and criteria
The assessment of the Bachelor’s Degree Paper consists of three components: 1) assessment of the academic advisor who fills in the corresponding assessment form according to the evaluation criteria (10% of the final score); 2) assessment of the reviewer who fills in the review form according to the evaluation criteria (45% of the final score); 3) grades for the defence of the paper (45% of the final score), which is issued by the examination board and entered into the final assessment academic record, which also contains the overall score as an arithmetic whole of three components (100%). Public defence of the Bachelor’s Degree Paper takes place in the form of presentations with the use of various forms of report visualization.
