Full-time form

1. The content and objectives of the course require students to update the basic historical, literary and theoretical knowledge gained in previous courses of the complex discipline. 2. Students have to carry out basic literary analysis of a literary text, to distinguish between literary epochs, trends and styles.

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the peculiarities of the development of the Modern Greek literature of the 20th and early 21st centuries, to present the literary process in Greece in its theoretical and methodological connections with the history of Western European literature of the 20th century and, in part, with literary interpretations of the outstanding phenomena of Modern Greek poetry and prose of the period. The course aims to build on the skills of literary and critical analysis already acquired in the previous years of study, to develop the ability to interpret texts of Modern Greek literature, and to apply this knowledge and skills in further professional philological and translation activities.

The methodology of lectures is determined by a polycritical approach: thebasicconceptsofthedisciplinearepresentedintheunityofsociocultural, genre and narrative approaches. Seminar classes are based on the principles of active learning, in the form of discussion of the proposed texts.

The final grade for the course is formed as the sum of the points of current control and the grade for the written exam. The forms of current control include grades for answers in seminars (max 40/min 24 points) and module tests at the end of each of the 2 modules (max 20/min 12 points) The exam grade is max 40/min 24 points. The final control forms total max 100/min 60 points. Students who have not scored at least 36 points during the semester are not allowed to take the exam until they report on the key topics of the course.
