Prerequisites and co-requisites
The degree of mastery of the language of instruction, sufficient for listening to lectures and participating in practical classes. Successful mastering of courses on various aspects of the Ukrainian language, as well as theoretical courses "Modern Ukrainian language. Lexicology", "Modern Ukrainian language. Word work", "Modern Ukrainian language. Morphology".
Course content
The discipline "Word as a Source of Information about the Worldview of a People" introduces foreign students to the basic concepts of the sciences that study the word in various aspects: as a nominal unit, as an object of semasiology, as a means of reflecting the peculiarities of the worldview of a particular people, as well as in comparison with similar units in other languages. The discipline involves independent research work aimed at analysing the content and form of words to determine their cultural value.
