Learning outcomes
PLO 5. Operates with basic categories and concepts of the specialty. PLO 13. Knows and understands the modern philological and didactic principles of teaching Turkish language and literature and English, language norms, socio-cultural situation of the Turkish language, features of the use of language units in a particular context, language discourse of fiction and modernity. PLO 14. Possesses communicative competence in Ukrainian, Turkish and English (linguistic, socio-cultural, pragmatic components in accordance with the European recommendations on language education), is able to improve and enhance his/her own competence level in the national and international context. PLO 24. Able to navigate in the information space, search and critically evaluate information, operate with it in professional activities.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know: - the place of English in the world language system; - features of the English language as an integral system; - the rules of phonetic design (stress, pause, intonation) of statements of different types (dialogue, monologue) in accordance with the situation of intercultural communication; - functional and stylistic norms of use of lexical items of the synonymous range, idioms, expressions in accordance with the situation of intercultural communication. 2. Be able to: - produce prepared or unprepared monological and dialogic statements that summarize and/or supplement the content of what they have heard or seen; - apply effective learning strategies in reading and listening. 3. Possess basic skills: - creating presentations; - to realize scientific research and improve their learning strategies. Course content
The course "Business and Academic English" is designed to improve students' socio-cultural, linguistic, professional and cognitive competencies, to form a positive attitude towards mastering the language and culture of the English-speaking world, and to increase the effectiveness of communication in English by: familiarizing students with the peculiarities of intercultural communication in the professional sphere and the basics of academic reading and writing; systematizing knowledge of the lexical and grammatical systems of English; developing students' skills in the field of This course is a basic discipline within the program of training specialists in the educational qualification level "Bachelor", field of knowledge 02. Philology, specialty 014.029 Secondary Education (Turkish Language and Literature). The discipline is taught in the VII semester in the amount of 3 ECTS credits, including 40 practical hours and 50 hours of independent work. Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in practical classes and writing the ICR. A student can score a maximum of 60 points for work during the semester. Assessment by forms of control: 1. Answer in practical classes: 12 - 20 points. 2. Preparation and defense of the project: 12 - 20 points. 3. Modular control work: 12 - 20 points. 4. Exam: 24 - 40 points.
