Learning outcomes
PLO 13. To know and understand the modern philological and didactic principles of teaching Turkish language and literature and English, language norms, socio-cultural situation of the Turkic language development, peculiarities of using language units in a certain context, language discourse of fiction and modernity. PLO 14. Possess communicative competence in Ukrainian, Turkish and English (linguistic, sociocultural, pragmatic components in accordance with the European recommendations for language education), improve and enhance their own competence level in the national and international context. PLO 16. To master the basics of professional culture, create, edit and translate texts of professional content in the state, Turkish and English languages. PLO 20. Ensure a dialogue of cultures in the process of studying Turkish language and literature and English, create conditions for intercultural communication.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses: First Turkic Language (Turkish): Basic level, First Turkic Language (Turkish): Intermediate level, First Turkic Language (Turkish): Advanced level; 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the general theory of linguistics and translation studies; 3. Possession of discussion skills when discussing topics from the Comprehensive Discipline "Practical Course of the First Turkic Language" and possession of language and speech competence skills at B2 level.
Course content
The academic discipline "First Turkic (Turkish) Language: Functional Level" is the professional basis for comprehensive training in the field of knowledge 01 "Education" of the direction of study 014 "Secondary Education" of the specialization 014.029 "Language and Literature (Other Languages (Turkish))" and is one of the compulsory components of the complex multi-semester discipline "Practical Course of the First Turkic Language", and also serves as the final component in this course. The discipline focuses on strengthening the skills of the main types of speech activities in Turkish: speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Students also gain a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the topics covered through discussions and consideration of some grammatical features of the modern Turkish language, which corresponds to the functional level of its acquisition. Classes are held in the form of practical classes. The course ends in the VII semester with an exam.
