Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully complete the course, students must master the following disciplines: pedagogy (didactics), psychology, and methods of teaching foreign languages. Students should also know - regulatory documents governing the learning process in a secondary education institution; - theoretical principles of control and assessment of foreign language learning outcomes; - communicate fluently in the state language both orally and in writing. Be able to: - plan and organize the educational process in secondary school; - choose appropriate means of control and assessment.
Course content
The discipline "Modern Methods of Assessment of Foreign Language Learning Outcomes" is designed to develop students' professional competence in the field of monitoring and assessment of foreign language learning outcomes. This course is a part of the educational and professional program of training specialists in the educational qualification level "Bachelor", field of knowledge 01 Education, specialty 014.02 Secondary Education (Turkish Language and Literature). The content of the course consists of general didactic concepts and categories related to the control and assessment of learning outcomes, as well as the goals, content, approaches, principles and methods of applying control and assessment of foreign language learning outcomes. The course consists of three modules: 1 - general fundamentals of the learning outcomes assessment system; 2 - language testing as a means of assessing students' achievements; 3 - alternative and modern means of assessing students' achievements.

Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation of semester work: 1. Work in practical classes: 20 - 27 points. 2. Module tests: 9 - 15 points. 3. Presentation of educational projects: 12 - 20 points. 4. Final test (credit): 12 - 20 points.
