Course content
The academic discipline "Scientific Image of the World" is a component of the educational program for the bachelor's degree in the field of knowledge "01 Education/Pedagogy" in the specialty "014.029 Secondary Education (Turkish Language and Literature)" of the educational program "Turkish Language and Literature and English". This discipline is included in the block of compulsory academic disciplines (specialty "Philology"). The course is taught in the 2nd semester (2 years of study) in the amount of 90 hours (3 ECTS credits), including: lectures - 38 hours in total, independent work - 50 hours, consultations - 2 hours. The course includes 3 content modules. The course ends with a test.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, consultations, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The course includes 3 content modules. All learning outcomes are assessed systematically throughout the semester, in accordance with the thematic plan of lectures. Based on the chosen topic of the second module, students create an essay for a popular science film and submit it for review (approximately by April 15). At the end of each module, module tests with test tasks and open questions are conducted (approximately on the 7th and 15th academic weeks of the semester); the points for the ICR are added to the sum of points for the MA. The sum of points for all MA is calculated on the principle of accumulation: maximum 100 points, minimum 60 points. Assessment of semester work: 1. Module test №1: 15 - 25 points. 2. Module test № 2: 15 - 25 points. 3. Practical work: 15 - 25 points. 4. Module test № 3: 15 - 25 points.
