Learning outcomes
PLO1. Communicate fluently on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in the state and foreign languages orally and in writing, use them to organize effective intercultural communication. PLO8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of the Crimean Tatar language and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PLO10. To know the norms of the literary language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO12. Analyze linguistic units, determine their interaction and characterize linguistic phenomena and processes that determine them.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: - basic provisions, categories of the scientific apparatus of the general theory of translation, ways to achieve adequate translation, and basic models of translation activity; - phonetic laws, grammatical constructions, and syntax rules of the Crimean Tatar language. Be able to: - Apply the acquired knowledge in practice. Possess basic skills: - interpretation and translation.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to develop and improve practical skills in written and oral consecutive bilateral translation, written and oral abstracting in Ukrainian/Crimean Tatar, oral translation from a letter, and oral/written annotation. The academic discipline Translation Practice is one of the components of the comprehensive training of the 035 Philology major - the Crimean Tatar Language and Literature, English Language and Translation educational program. Students develop professional skills in translation from and into the Crimean Tatar language on the basis of previously acquired theoretical knowledge, as well as the need to systematically update their knowledge and creatively apply it in practical activities in the field of their future profession.
